International climate protection needs trailblazers. This is precisely what we and our member companies are.
Twelve of our supporting businesses — Allianz, Aurubis, Deutsche Post DHL Group, Deutsche Telekom, HeidelbergCement, Otto Group, PUMA, Schüco International, thyssenkrupp Steel Europe, Wacker Chemie and Union Investment — have demonstrated their commitment to a 1.5° path to climate neutrality by joining the UN’s Race to Zero Campaign.
These companies have therefore voluntarily committed to becoming climate neutral by 2050 at the latest. They are working to achieve scientifically validated goals within 2 years, are taking corresponding proactive measures and are committed to publishing transport annual reports on progress made. In this way, these companies are demonstrating that the transition to a climate-neutral economy is possible in all sectors of business and industry.
As a German partner of the UN Race to Zero Campaign and the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi), we look forward to accompanying more companies on this journey, to COP27 in Egypt and beyond.
