The European Green Deal is the biggest and most ambitious project for sustainable growth and future competitiveness since the foundation of the European Union. In 2021, the European Commission presented a series of legislative proposals for implementation in the EU Member States (EU Fit for 55). These implementation packages will have a huge impact on shaping climate, energy, building, industry and transport policy in Germany well beyond 2030.
Together with our member companies, we are playing a constructive role in debating the shape and implementation of relevant policy with the European Parliament and national governments. We want to make climate neutrality „made in Europe“ a success. In this context we see our role as a bridge builder between Brussels and Berlin and as a dialogue platform for ambitious climate protection and progressive economic policy. We are committed to developing solutions and seeking compromises, forging alliances and generating forward momentum.
